Purchasing a new home or deciding to sell property can be overwhelming. I want to take the stress out of the experience and bring a positive, fresh outlook to assist in a smooth and simple process. My ability to see the whole picture has inspired me to pursue flipping houses and this has complemented my real estate career by encouraging others to do the same! Giving life back to a lackluster fixer-upper gives a special meaning to my work, so please allow me to facilitate if this interests you!
Montana has been home my entire life and more specifically the Billings area thus resulting in a thorough understanding of the community and its growth. Working in real estate has allowed me to share my love for the Big Sky state and the many outdoor activities it offers. I enjoy skiing and fishing while taking in the picturesque scenery Montana shares. From lustrous sunrises to glowing mountains against a blazing sunset at dusk, I represent Montana, its properties and its residences. I would be honored to assist you with your real estate needs.

I was born in Illinois but proudly refer to Montana as home as I have lived here for over 20 years. After graduating from high school in Great Falls, I earned a degree in Psychology at the University of Providence while playing basketball for the Argonauts. I then traded life in the city for life on a wheat farm where I raised two daughters and many pets. Being in the midst of harvest and the different seasons of farming, I got to watch my girls flourish and grow just like the pink treated wheat seed grows into blankets of golden wheat fields. As the hustle of harvest transfers into fall seeding, I discovered a new passion, my delight in crisp early mornings binoculars around my neck and rifle on my back. I feel incredibly blessed to have had the opportunities to go hunting and fishing and enjoy sharing the experience with others.
Eventually, my love for connecting with people attracted me to the real estate industry. At Corder and Associates, I aspire to help people find a property or home that brings them closer to Montana’s natural splendor. Furthermore, I realize the dying breed of the American farmer and rancher and would like nothing more than to help an ambitious farmer find his piece of Montana dirt to stake his claim and join the force of feeding the world.
I spent four years studying the importance of communication and listening and seek perfection in any endeavor. I am eager for the opportunity to meet you and assist you in finding property that feeds your soul. “It is not so much for its beauty that the forest makes a claim upon men’s hearts, as for that subtle something, that quality of air that emanation from old trees, that so wonderfully changes and renews a weary spirit.” – Robert Louis Stevenson

My family has had the privilege to live in Bozeman, MT, for 34 years. Since moving to Bozeman, I have been involved in custom home building, developed a large condominium project, and developed subdivisions. The Bozeman real estate market has been very strong and the Gallatin Valley real estate has brought people from all over the world to live in our paradise. This has allowed me to meet and help people not only purchase real estate, but sell and upgrade to more beautiful homes and properties. I also enjoy my time volunteering with Warriors and Quiet Water Foundation (WQW). So, if you’re looking anywhere in Montana or Wyoming to purchase or sell a farm, ranch, hunting, live water fishing property or looking for an investment or 1031 parcel and need help developing, I am a great team player and will work hard to find you your dream property.

I’m a small town Montana girl with a love for everything relating to cattle ranching. From a young girl showing registered Herefords, to marrying my high school sweetheart, to becoming a mom and helping run a 4th-generation Angus ranch, I’ve been country all my life. In July 2016, my husband and my dedication to genetics in cattle paid off when we were honored by the Northern Livestock Video with the Young Producer of the Year Award.
When I can turn my attention away from family and cattle, I enjoy cranking up the music and welding metal yard art in my shop. I much prefer old worn boots to high heels and a good horse to a 4-wheeler. My appreciation runs deep for all the beauty Montana has to offer. As a Realtor, I can share my love for the land, passion for my work and knowledge of the agriculture business. With the support of Corder and Associates, let me help you begin your real estate adventure.

I was born and raised in Portland, Oregon, a city girl with an unstoppable passion for horses. My hopes were always to build a life for me and my horses on a farm. However, life in the city doesn’t exactly support that.
At twelve years old, I joined the work force, bought my first horse, and boarded him at a local stable. To support my horses, I worked through high school, sometimes up to three jobs! I was blessed to be offered an apprenticeship right out of high school with a top-cutting horse trainer. My life then consisted of working seven days a week in a small travel trailer while taking care of horses and cattle and living off Mac n Cheese. No sacrifice was too great as I was finally on a ranch and in my own heaven.
My first visit to Montana was at the age of 17, and I was in awe of the beauty and space! Horse heaven! I informed my mom that I was moving to Montana someday. Through the years, I diligently worked to build a successful training and boarding business for horses, focusing on starting colts and working with kids. When the door opened for me to move my family to Montana, I had no second thoughts. My family and I moved to Trout Creek, Montana to be a caretaker for some former clients’ horses that had relocated. There, we started breeding Quarter Horses. I hand-picked mares that I thought would cross well with our stallions. The resulting foals became truly successful, all-around horses, from family ranch horses to show horses! We even had a few that earned multiple World and Reserve World titles in multiple events!
Aside from the enthusiasm that I have for horses, real estate is another passion of mine, and at the age of 38, I decided to change careers, another life change that I do not regret. I love helping people find the perfect property for them. It brings me such satisfaction to work towards a stress-free closing for both sellers and buyers. Additionally, it is easy for me to sell property in Montana, because I absolutely LOVE Montana. I can relate with the people that want to leave the hustle and bustle of the city and relocate here. Clients become neighbors and friends.
I believe in service after the sale and am always here to help with anything from where to get your nails done to where to buy a pig. (Really!) I will do anything to help make the transition easier. There is a calmness that takes over your soul in Montana, and people often speak of this. Whether you are in the mountains on the back of a horse, snowmobiling the back country, fishing our amazing waters or just watching the majestic wildlife that call this state home, you cannot help but feel in awe of the beauty. This truly is an amazing place, and I have been so fortunate to be able to raise my family here and continue to call Montana home. I look forward to helping you find the perfect property that makes Montana home!

Growing up on our family farm, I learned early on the importance of hard work as well as an appreciation of what being a steward of the land can provide for us. As I went on to play college basketball and study, I carried that same work ethic with me and earned a degree in Business Management. From there, I had the opportunity to live the “city life” in Bozeman as I enjoyed a career in Human Resources, which allowed me to carry out my passion of helping people as they navigated their own careers. However, agriculture and caring for the land was always calling me back, so when I met my husband, Kevin, it was a an easy decision to switch gears and become a ranch wife and nestle back into agriculture and rural life in Central Montana, where we raise our kids and cattle. After working as a paralegal for a local law firm, I quickly found a passion for real estate. This led me to become a licensed Realtor and join the Corder and Associates team, as it provides an opportunity to lend my support and understanding to others in finding the property that suits their current walk in life and I would feel privileged to assist you and your family as life’s journeys may be taking you through growth or change!

Agriculture and Heritage are what I thrive on and what I hope to help bring back to life when working with clients looking to buy or sell property in Montana. Our great State was built on hard work, sacrifice and a want-to attitude that embodies farms and ranches that dot the county maps.
When you own a piece of Montana land, you own a piece of history and this realization is powerful for those looking to make their mark and write their own history.
Montana presents some of the greatest opportunity and challenges for agricultural production, land ownership and recreational properties – I believe these things go hand in hand and the opportunity far outweighs the challenges. Real Estate provides a unique set of circumstance to match land ownership with the personal goals of each client in order to find and own property that best fits whatever your niche will be in this great state. From grass ranches that was Montana built on to World Class Elk hunting properties there is something for everyone.
I currently reside in Billings, MT with My wife Macie and son Jennings McKinley. I work day to day in the cattle industry while managing our ranching operation 50 miles NW of Billings.

Born and raised in Maryland, competing in the equestrian arena, and college educated in West Virginia with a degree in Business Administration, I fell in love with Montana at first sight during a visit to the Flathead Valley about 20 years ago. So much so, my husband and I bought the Lake Mary Ronan Lodge & Resort, a rustic fishing resort just west of Flathead Lake, moved the family across the country, and ran it as a family endeavor for 16 years. Those years of snowmobiling and ATV poker runs, ice fishing tournaments, horseback riding and hiking; along with running the business, working with various Chambers of Commerce and local charitable groups has grown my love of, and respect for, all things Montana. I love to share that compassion and knowledge with others in search of the same dream! Originally licensed in Maryland, I was determined to be the kind of real estate agent I wished I had when I bought my first home straight out of college and when I sold four homes and two businesses that I owned over the years. Constantly continuing to educate myself in real estate matters, it is not only my desire to help, but my enthusiasm and professionalism that sets me apart from many other agents. Corder and Associates along with LandLeader’s phenomenal real estate platform has been a great fit.

Life is ours for the taking and with a state like Montana as my home, I am inspired on a daily basis to discover what this wild country can offer. While growing up under the Big Sky, my family and I always strived to find the treasure in every season in Montana. My fondest memories come from camping trips deep within the forest of pine trees or next to the lapping waters of a lake. We enjoyed fishing, hiking, skiing, hunting, and special annual traditions like setting out on an adventure to locate the perfect Christmas tree. My grandparents would capture the magic of winter by taking us snowshoeing in the Big Belt Mountains to camp out for the weekend in a wonderland. However, my absolute favorite leisure activity is pushing away from the shoreline in my kayak, capturing the tranquility and stillness, and casting out a line from my trusty fishing pole.
The days of my youth took place in the Helena Valley, and I took away a high school diploma from Capital High School. My journey soon led me to Missoula where I jumped at the chance to support a friend in need. From there, I returned to Helena and became employed at the Capital City Health Club. After a year, I was promoted to the Front Desk Customer Service Manager, and I learned that my fit was with fitness and working with people! For eight years, I thrived in the health and fitness industry, but there was still something missing in my life…the great outdoors!
While realizing what things I could not live without, my career path shifted directions toward a more suitable choice for me and that was real estate. In this career field, I could share my passion for helping others and my enthusiasm for the state of Montana! Fortunately, I had the opportunity to work as an assistant under an experienced and successful real estate agent/broker Challise Caddell whom I knew as Charlie. Her drive and dedication instilled a desire in me to carry on her inspiring and motivating spirit. I am delighted to launch my dreams as a real estate agent by assisting you with your dreams of owning or selling property here in this piece of heaven we call Montana!

Exploring Montana’s vast beauty throughout my youth has convinced me that there is no better place to live. From the western side of the Rockies, where I was raised and attended the University of Montana in Missoula, to the plains of the eastern front, where I now raise my four sons, each corner of the state has its own dramatic expression that I’ve fallen in love with.
My previous years in law enforcement, time spent as a volunteer fire fighter, serving as President of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 689, coaching youth football and maintaining a swim team board position have all allowed me to help my fellow Montanans.
I enjoy Montana’s abundant opportunities for hunting, fishing, hiking and camping. I have a passion for woodworking and restoring classic cars, which fuels my obsession for detail in everything I do, including helping my clients with their real estate needs.
Whether listing a property to sell or searching for the perfect piece of Montana to call your own, allow me to assist you with your needs and desires. I take pride in knowing that my clients are 100% satisfied with my performance.
April Schmele, licensed real estate agent
Born and raised in the magical state of Montana, I could not imagine raising my boys or tucking my family in at night under any sky other than the Big Sky. I am accustomed to small town living as I grew up in the community of Kevin, Montana roaming the 7 acres we resided on with horses with whom I found a kindred relationship. In the midst of raising a family, my husband and I chose Highwood, Montana to settle in hoping to surround our boys with a close knit and caring community while keeping the mountains right out our back door.
The place you choose to call home is an important decision to make and can be overwhelming to say the least. Real estate agents play a major role in finding a suitable location that meet the needs of a family or individual, a challenge I realized I enjoyed. Fate and logic led me to Corder and Associates, where I bring over seven years of experience in the real estate industry and eighteen years of customer service and management experience. As the Office Manager and a licensed real estate agent, it is here that I continue to thrive with a team that prides themselves in hard work, client service, and communication. Whether it be helping you find a cabin to make memories in, land to cultivate your ideals of agriculture, or a house to make a home, I eagerly look forward to helping you fulfill your dreams at the chance to experience Montana and its endless adventures.
